Breast reconstruction surgery can be done in three ways. The surgeon can make use of a tissue expander/implant to reconstruct the breast. The next option is using the patient’s tissues, mostly from the abdomen or buttock or thighs. The last option is a combination of both the methods which is using own tissue from the back and the implant. The reconstructed breast takes a while to settle and feel like a normal breast and will be swollen for some time.
